14 October 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The surge in remote working and the number of people spending time online during lock-down has created more opportunities for cyber criminals to exploit, putting Cyber Security centre stage once again, highlighting the already high demand for trained professionals in the sector.

As part of this event we will explore the current Cyber Security landscape from two key lens, firstly from an industry perspective; looking at how firms have responded to issues raised by the pandemic, how their own working practices have changed and crucially how they have adapted to the increased demand for protection. Then we will be examining the education sector’s approach to providing the industry with the highly skilled workforce who will be able to help them address the ever-increasing threat from tech savvy criminals.

This event will help you get a clear picture of where the cyber security industry is currently and in which direction it is heading. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and share your own insight whilst at the same time gaining an understanding of how exactly universities and businesses can work together to service this crucial need for our society at large.
